Whereas, The Nanooks defeated the other programs at the competition solidly, with an air rifle score of 2354, a small bore score of 2308, and a cumulative total of 4662;
Whereas, This is UAF’s most successful athletics program, and it brings substantial recognition to the campus and the community; and

Whereas, In that time, both the State of Alaska and the United States Governments have raised their minimum wages;
Whereas, The rate of inflation has significantly decreased the purchasing power of the constant pay rate, effectively resulting in a decrease in compensation; and
Whereas, Most student employees are unable to pay even a significant portion of their university tuition and fees based on their student wages; now, therefore be it

Whereas, The current term of the Senate Chair ends on June 30th;
Whereas, That leaves the Senate Chair-less for half of the summer; and
Whereas, Chair are, for the most part, a good thing to have; now, therefore be it

2.2.a The Senate Chair serves for a term beginning immediately upon election and ending at the calling of the first meeting of the next academic year.
