Call to Order

ASUAF Senate Meeting 173-C was called to order Sunday, September 20, 2009, at 4:06pm in the Rasmusen Library Media Classroom 340 by Senate Chair Joshua Luther.  Senate Clerk (interim) Patrick Sanders was present.

Roll Call

Present were Senators Bole, Brown, Duffy, Freitag, Lewis, Luther, Martin, Pendleton and Wassillie.
Unexcused were Senators Caulfield and Richards.
Excused were Senators Boone and Molnia.
On Business were Senators Carvajal and Chambers.

Introduction of Guests

Helen Earl and Raven Geary, an ASUAF member, came to talk about the "anti-gay" banner hanging in the Wood Center. Fairbanks North Star Borough Assemblyman Joeseph Blanchard came to talk about the Youth Commission. Sara Cunningham came to talk about her appointment to the ASUAF Senate.

Nomination of Public Relations Chair

Senator Duffy nominated Senator Molnia, he declined the nomination. Senator Caulfiled nominated Senator Cunningham, she accepted the nomination. Without objection she became the Public Relations Committee Chair.

Jay Leonard was present because of Accreditation Committee.

Senator Duffy motioned to table minutes 173F and 173G and Senator Chambers seconded. Without objection the minutes were tabled.
