Volunteer
- Want to volunteer? We need you! If you are interested in environmental issues and want to get more involved in campus events, we are always looking for people with new ideas willing to help plan events, make and distribute posters, and help facilitate events and workshops. Our big event of the 2008 spring semester is the Eletronic Recycling event that occurs in April. We have already started planning for this event and are looking for volunteer willing to help with advertising. This is a great way to get involved not only with groups on campus, but also with community environmental organizations such as Green Star, the Northern Alaska Environmental Center, and the Department of Environment. - Also, we are looking for anyone who might be interested in filling the positions of Recycling Director and Assistant for the fall semester of 2008. These are both part time positions requiring 10-20 hrs of work per week. Duties include weekly collections of cans and printer cartridges, up keep of recycling bins, websight updates, and organizing events for students and faculty.
