Call to Order
The ASUAF senate was called to order at 4:02 PM on Sunday, February 14th by Senate Chair Joshua Luther in the Alumni Lounge of Constitution Hall. Also Present were President Todd Vorisek, Vice President Jay Leonard.

Appointment of Executive Committee Chair
Senator Duffy nominated himself, with no objection he is confirmed.
Approval of Minutes
173-M- Senator Duffy motioned to approve the minutes, Senator Currey seconded the motion. With no objection the minutes are approved.
174-A- Senator Duffy mentioned interest in having his attendance changed, so the clerk will change him to be Excused for that meeting. Senator Duffy motioned to approve the minutes, Senator Currey seconded the motion. With no objection the minutes are approved.

Consideration
David Apperson to Parking Committee- with no objection his appointment is sent to University relations.
Ben White to ASUAF Senate- Senator Freitag motioned to expedite, Senator Cunningham seconded the motion. With no objection, he is expedited to Confirmation of appointments.
Brittany Hartman to ASUAF Senate- with no objection her appointment is sent to University relations.
Sophia Grzeskowiak-Amezquita to ASUAF Senate- Senator Freitag motioned to expedite, Senator Caulfield seconded the motion. With no objection, her appointment is expedited to Confiramtion of appointments.
Michael Farrell to ASUAF Senate- Senator Duffy motioned to send the appointment to Executive committee, nobody seconded. With no objection his appointment to University Relations
Avalon Vorisek to Awards Committee- with no objection her appointment is sent to University relations.
Sophia Grzeskowiak-Amezquita to Awards Committee- with no objection her appointment is sent to University relations.

Officer Reports
Senate Chair- Senator Joshua Luther- Dealing with the advising department system, and is talking to people from other schools to see if they have a different and/or better system somewhere else. Going to Juneau next week, he claimed 10 hours for last week, and 10 hours for this week.
President- Todd Vorisek- wants to compile the list of the businesses that are participating in the student saver program. Nikki's doing an awesome job with the Juneau trip. Working on making the Graduate Student committee work. Working with Help Haiti Fairbanks, and the Pub line is going to be running again.
Vice President Jay Leonard- Been looking at different things that he can change for Club Council. He wants to change the rules of procedure for them. He has claimed 20 hours for last week and 20 hours for this week.
Governance Relations Directior- Nichole Carvajal- Went throught he advocacy packets for the Juneau trip. There will be tabling this week to help bring up awareness. She went down to a leadership conference in Portland and spoke to a national coalition called USAA about joining as a state in order to advocate on a national level. She has been working with Director Hovis and President Vorisek about the bus going down to Anchorage for the Governor's cup with SAO.
RHA- Senator Freitag- there will be in a dance sometime in March themed red carpet hollywood.
For the Good of the Senate
Chair Luther would like to see projects from every committee chair. He spoke about the Graduate Student Council, how it's going to be funded possibly, and what the progress is. It is slowly forming.
Senator Duffy would like to see the 173 session binder.
Oath of Office- Senator Grzeskowiak-Amezquita and Senator White took the oath of office.
Committee Reports
Executive Committee- Senator Ryan Duffy- plans to meet sometime on Wednesday.
Internal Affairs Committee- Nominations for Chair are open-
Student Affairs Committee- Senator Jamal Brown- meeting is tomorrow.
University Relations Committee- Senator Michael Caulfield- couldn't have a meeting, and Monika showed up. Senator Duffy motioned to discharge Monika Kunat's appointment back to Confirmation. UR will not meet next week because lots of people are going to be gone. Senator Duffy moved to suspend the rules of procedure to go back to Confirmation of appointments, Senator Bole seconded. Senator Duffy withdrew his motion.
Public Relations Committee- Senator Sara Cunningham- Plans to meet on Wednesday.
Governance Relations Council- Director Carvajal- they set up the Juneau training that was over the last two Saturdays. This Thursday from 1-3, there will be a phone bank probably in the senate chambers to call the legislators to advocate for our issues.

First Reading of Legislation
SB 174-001 Legislative Conference Follow Up- Senator Duffy moved the legislation. With no objection the legislation was sent to PR.
SR 174-001 ASUAF Meeting Cancellation- Senator Duffy moved the legislation. With no objection the legislation was sent to Executive Committee.
SB 174-002 Accreditation Task Force- Senator Duffy moved the legislation. With no objection the legislation was sent to Executive Committee.
Lately Submitted Legislation
Senator Caulfield moved to consider a piece of legislation lately, senator Freitag seconded. Senator Duffy objected. With a vote of 8-1-0 it is considered lately.
SB 174-003- Senator Freitag moved to expedite the legislation, senator Caulfield seconded the motion. With no objection the legislation is expedited.
Second Reading of Legislation
SB 174-003- Senator Bole motioned to amend the fiscal impact to $250. Senator Duffy seconded the motion. Senator Duffy moved to close discussion on the amendment. Senator Bole seconded. With a vote of 8-1-0 the legislation is amended. Senator Duffy moved to amend the enacted clause to read "the ASUAF senate gives $250 to SAO to offset the costs of the bus tickets." Senator Bole seconded. Senator White moved to amendment to the amendment to change all references to $250 to $500. Caulfield seconded the amendment to the amendment. Senator Cervin motioned to table the legislation until the next meeting. Senator Duffy seconded the motion. Senator Currey moves to close discussion on tabing the legislation till next meeting. With no objections the discussion is closed. With a vote of 2-7, the motion fails. With no objection Senator White's Amendment to the Amendment is approved. Senator Duffy withdrew his amendment and made a new amendment to amend the fiscal impact to $500 dollars, and senator Currey seconded the motion. With no objection the change was made. With a vote of 7-2-1 the bill is passed.
Other Business
Senator Freitag motioned to discharge Mira Wilhelm's appointment from UR. Senator Caulfield seconded. Senator Freitag moved to suspend the rules of procedure to go back to Confirmation of appointments.
