SB 177-022 Funding for the Human Services Student Organization

Whereas, the Human Services Student Organization was awarded $250 from Club Council this semester.

Whereas, the club intended to use the funds to do a outreach project for homeless teens here in the Fairbanks Community.

Whereas, they were present at the first two club council meetings and their delegate served on the club council finance committee. The finance committee unanimously agreed every funding request under $300 was automatically approved.

Whereas, they missed the last club council meeting, and because of clerical error, they were marked absent for two meetings.

Whereas, missing two meetings would’ve made them ineligible for funding.

Whereas, their name was not on the roll call for at least the first meeting, but their delegate Karalee Spear notified the Club Council Chair after the meeting to ensure they were marked as present, which the correction was not transferred to the minutes. 

Let it enacted, that Human Services Student Organization receive $250 from senate projects because they didn’t receive funding from club council due to a clerical error.
