SB 176-017 Operation Troop Support

Whereas, Beginning April 11, the Residence Hall Association, in partnership with UAF students, will be putting on a service project;

Whereas, In the course of two weeks, nonperishable items will be collected through a canned food drive and care packages will be boxed the weekend of April 22 and sent to troops overseas; 

Whereas, In conjunction with this service project we would like to bring Keni Thomas to UAF’s Hess Rec Center as a guest speaker; and

Whereas, Keni Thomas is a motivational speaker and former United Sates Army Ranger who was portrayed in the film Black Hawk Down; now therefore be it

Enacted, That ASUAF help sponsor Keni Thomas to come up to UAF as a quest speaker on April 22 and April 23 by giving $2,500.
