SB 176-014 Gerrymandering Documentary

Whereas, Gerrymandering is topic being studied in many political science classes at UAF.

Whereas, a gerrymandering documentary would be beneficial for students to know and understand the process of redistricting and reapportionment because it happens every ten years,

Whereas,  Gerrymandering has been shown at another location in the community, but had age restrictions and the documentary is not available in theaters or accessible yet acquired by individuals,

Whereas, the documentary if purchased would be shown on campus and advertised in a public area and would also be free for students.

Let it be enacted, that ASUAF allocate $205 to buy the DVD to show the documentary Gerrymandering .
