Whereas, Regionalism is a negative issue specifically mentioned at the April meeting of the Board of Regents;

Whereas, the disconnect between campuses serves no benefit for the students of UAF, or students of the UA system in general;

Whereas, students from multiple campuses working together can achieve more than students from individual campuses are able to;

Whereas, the President of USUAS was influential in our recent success with the Board of Regents;

Whereas, ASUAF would like to show their appreciation to USUAS;

Whereas, the President of USUAS who acts as Chair of their senate does not have a gavel;

Whereas, gavels are an awesome and essential part to any senate meeting,

Whereas, the President of USUAS will be visiting Fairbanks within a few weeks and it would be a nice gesture to present her with a gavel, therefore be it.
