Government Relations Objectives for 2007-2008

This year the government relations department has been tasked with the following objectives:

• To advocate for a scholarship program with a needs-based component to allow greater access into the public education system.
• To promote the goals and objectives decided along with Coalition of Student Leaders for the campaign in Juneau for funding.
• To assist through the Government Relations Council the process and specifics for the campaign as well as training for advocacy.
• To work with borough assembly membership to secure a commitment and funding for borough wide recycling program.
